The Virtual States of America exist only on the internet and in the minds of its Virtizens. It is a virtual country enabled by technology. As such its citizens are referred to as Virtizens, virtual citizens. Virtizens hold dual citizenship in the USA and in the VSA. The VSA has no borders and a liberal immigration policy. We invite you to immigrate to the Virtual States of America and to contribute your thoughts and ideas, your energies, your creativity, in helping to engineer a mid-course correction for the United States of America.
The Virtual States of America is dedicated to the proposition that we all know something is wrong over there in the United States of America and that change comes hard over there.
It is polarized.
It is balkanized.
It is going financially and morally bankrupt.
Nonetheless many of the USA’s citizens think everything is just fine. We doubt many of them will immigrate to the Virtual States of America. Still, we wish them well and we hope that all works out well for them.
The Virtual States of America are inhabited by “little d” democrats and “little r” republicans, political independents, libertarians, librarians and anyone of good will. This of course excludes many Democrats and Republicans, millionaires and billionaires (except those defined as such by President Obama to whom are granted special exemptions for a phenomenal fee), vulture capitalists, corporate welfare recipients, labor union bosses, television talking heads, anyone who eats foie gras, Nazis, white supremacists, and anyone who associates themselves in any way with Al Gore or Newt Gingrich.
Virtizens are of every race, creed and color. At least we hope so. The Virtual States of America intends to foster free speech, freedom of peaceful assembly, freedom of religion, the right to keep and bear arms and all rights enshrined in the Constitution of our physical counterpart, the United States of America. We encourage Virtizens to express themselves in thoughtful, interesting and often humorous ways. We invite all Virtizens to participate in robust and earnest discussions.
Let us test and prove our ideas in a noble experiment with good humor and patience. The words of Abraham Lincoln would be a worthy standard for us to use in our discourse here.
