This article documents one man and four women who were killed for trying to prevent polio in Pakistan by promoting the polio vaccine. As someone whose mother was stricken by polio in the prime of her life I consider this senseless act worthy of scorn and promotion to the Hall of Shame. What could possibly cause someone to kill someone else for trying to prevent polio?
